Assistant Headteacher – Head of Sixth Form
Director of Learning – Year 12
Director of Learning – Year 13
Academic Tutor and Study Support Manager
Sixth Form Senior Administrator
Sixth Form Pastoral Support Officer
The excellent level of pastoral care provided in Years 7-11 at The Blue Coat School is continued into the Sixth Form. Students will be allocated a personal tutor and all tutor groups are also members of the school house system.
Form tutors are the first port of call for all students and parents, and the relationship between tutors and students is one of the foundations on which our successful Sixth Form is built.
We realise that the transition from GCSE to A Level is sometimes difficult, we also recognise that A Levels are hard work and sometimes students may need additional support and guidance to ensure that they reach their full potential. Students who need additional support to help them on their A Level journey are often assigned a Sixth Form Progress Lead in Year 13 who will meet fortnightly and help students to develop the necessary skills and strategies to make their time at Blue Coat a success.
